This year’s free projects will be a little different. There will be two monthly series, alternating on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.
The first series, Mindy’s Minis (pictured above), is perfect for lovers of painted canvas. These 2″ square designs call on many influences including Art Nouveau and oriental art. You’ll get a free complete stitch guide in these articles.
The second series, Scrap Bag Quilts, will appear on the fourth Tuesday. These are small (ornament) quilt portraits. They are needlepoint adaptations of actual quilts. Small enough to use your scraps of canvas, I’m using my bag of leftover threads for these. At worst you’ll have to buy a thread for the background.
But you’ll get plenty of great ideas for making unique projects. I’ve been working on these projects lately and I just love them.
These are the planned series, but there will be more when inspiration strikes.
Look for the first one next Tuesday.
