Even for a major collector of ornaments like me, there is a point where you just don’t need any more. But if you like to stitch small canvases, you need ideas for finishing them.
I love this fantastic set of ideas from Needlepoint for Fun.
Some, like the eclectic small frames require that the needlepoint you have fit the frames. Others, like the lovely gallery wall in the first picture, let you impose order on a variety of similar shapes with uniform wide matting and frames.
Still others showcase the needlepoint in great ways.
Since one of my goals for the year is to finish lots of stuff, I’m keeping these ideas in mind as I get canvases finished.

It’s from Designing Women which is now distributed by Canvas Connection. I got it from Needle Nook of La Jolla, but many stores carry them and I’ve bought them from many places because I collect them.
Keep Stitching,
Janet

Janet, I have several needlepoint canvas I would like to sew together to make a small rug. Any way I could do this on my sewing machine?
Kind regards,
J Lynn

Be careful regarding gluing to a canvas. The glue will ruin the thread over time.
Janet M Perry says
Yes I think this could be done because needlepoint pillows are sewn using sewing machines. You’d have to be very careful doing this so that no unstitched canvas shows.
Generally though pieces are sewn together for rugs by hand. You might look at the Elizabeth Bradley site, I think it has information about doing this.
Keep stitching,
Janet
