This month is the second of the PotPourri mini-socks. I picked diagonal stitches, most of which I’ve been wanting to try. I’ve made samplers of stitches that look interesting to me since the mid-70’s. It’s a great way to try them out.

Threads used here include: Weeks floss in2268 Fire, Kreinik #12 in027L, Watercolours 285 Sherwood Forest, unidentified variegated Persian Wool, unidentified Thread Gatherer silk/wool, Treenway silk.
Area 1: Arundel Lattice, stitched in Weeks floss.
Area 2: St. Rita’s Stitch, stitched in Treenway silk
Area 3: Diagonal Hungarian Ground, stitched in Kreinik and silk/wool.
Area 4: Kentucky Stitch, done in variegated Persian.
Area 5: Cobblestone, stitched using Watercolours.
