There are plenty of other great new products coming into your needlepoint shops right now.
Canvases
BB Needlepoint has a charming design of a vase with orange flowers in a quirky style. Liz’ newest stocking features Santa holding a lantern walking through the woods. It’s a generous 20″ high. Pepperberry has a series of new rounds that feature some reindeer getting into all kinds of trouble. You’ll find them throwing snowballs, eating cookies, hiding out in the sleigh, and more.
Kangaroo Paw has sorority ornaments in a different shape — cowboy boots. They are available for 22 national sororities and are officially licensed. In addition they have a series of jumbo letter designs for all 44 national sororities and fraternities. On 13-mesh they are easy to stitch and make great pillows.
Pippin has an adorable new canvas of the three bears, all reading in bed! It’s on 18-mesh and would be a whimsical addition to a child’s room. Labors of Love has several lovely realistic flower canvases including poppies, iris, and orchids. A new Kirk & Bradley canvas proclaims “Life is better by the Sea.” It’s a great idea for a beach cottage.
Jean Smith has five beautiful bouquet designs in a less abstract style in softer colors, I love the blue-and-white vase filled with pink peonies. She also has two charming tulip designs that have an interesting block border that goes across the bottom and halfway up both sides. & more has added a lovely Bailey Jack canvas that has Frida Kahlo with some bright butterflies, all on a dark background.
Rittenhouse Needlepoint has announced their wholesale line with the acquisition of two popular lines: Barbara Russell and Changing Woman. They plan on producing classic designs from both lines and will produce new designs in the spirit of both artists. In addition to new canvases from their existing artists, Purple Palm will be debuting a new artist at TNNA next month. The design I saw was a wonderfully bright rooster with tons of patterns.
Voila is making their market tote in new colors. The colors include: raspberry, navy, green, saffron, cinnamon, and purple. They come in four sizes: small, medium, large, and extra large. They all are finished with a stitched band that goes over the top and closes the bag. The company also has new covers for their 6 oz. flasks.
