Last Sunday I stitched the background instead of working on the border. I wanted something that would hide any carrying threads between the letters but that was light and open. I settled on a pattern from Esemplario Atlantio (download it here) that was straight lines. I didn’t like how open it was, so I added eyelets in the center. I love how it looks!
There is great complexity here, but that’s muted by the white-on-white color. The thread I used is one of my favorite colors of Watercolours, Linen. It’s white with cream and a very pale blue.
I was also able to finish stitching “Thank”.
I won’t stitch much today because we are going to the movies and I will stitch a cross over Easter weekend, but I should be able to get this done in the next week or so.
