It’s a transformation that never gets old. You see a wonderful canvas and you buy it. You can almost see how lovely it will look stitched — can’t you?
Then you get it home and reality sets in. You don’t have a clue how to transform the painted canvas into that stitched masterpiece that lives in your mind. You know the perfect thread and stitch are out there but you don’t know how to find them.
Your first thought into stick it into your stash, in other words to ignore. If the canvas is lucky you will stitch it sometime. Then you go looking for stitch guides done by a professional.
But these can cost hundreds of dollars.
Neither of these are satisfying because neither gives you that lovely satisfaction of transformation you get from creating an original work from a painted canvas.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You can learn how to put that imagine in your mind onto paper and canvas by creating your own stitch guide.
In this, my annual Stitch Guide class, you’ll learn the tools and techniques you need to create stitched canvases that reflect your style.
In this class, costing only $45 you’ll learn:
- evaluate a canvas to see if it’s right for you (new this year)
- pick threads that bring your canvas to life
- create a balanced canvas and fix common problems
- pick the perfect background
- deal with small areas on a canvas
and lots more.
You’ll see my successes and my mistakes as examples of what you should and shouldn’t do. You’ll discover lots about yourself as a stitcher through polls and quizzes, and you’ll learn by seeing canvases from class members planned in the class. The lessons are sent through email and group discussion is an important part of the class.
Hundreds of stitchers have learned how to create their own stitch guides easily. Guides that are for you as a stitcher, guides that reflect your style, not someone else’s.
The class begins May 15, 2017 and will not be repeated until 2018. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to transform your needlepoint.
