Even the best stitchers can come up against a blank wall when thinking about how to stitch a canvas. We start full of ideas and then the ideas stop and our enthusiasm fades. We want to do justice to the canvas we just love, and so we put the canvas aside, waiting for that “spark.”
That explains why canvas enhancement classes are so popular. But there are disadvantages. There might not be a shop near you, adding travel costs to the other fees. You have to buy a canvas for classes at shops, but you have a stash full of canvases you want to stitch. The classes themselves are expensive, and you are on a budget.
What’s a stitcher to do?
That’s why I have started the Canvas Enhancement Forum, putting all the fun and help of these classes into an affordable online format. You’ll get help with your canvases, with stitch and thread suggestions for up to eight areas (no more than three from one canvas). You’ll see the canvases and get the suggestions for everyone else in the class, so you learn from them as well. The suggestions for their canvases often give you ideas for your own canvas stash.
The forum is six months long so you can submit and get ideas for canvases all along the way. Within the Forum we can also cover more general needlepoint questions as well — it’s like having an expert on call!
Every student in the class can submit up to eight areas in canvases for stitch suggestions. In addition members of the Forum can ask more general questions, that will also be answered. And every student gets every bit of individualized advice. If you sign up before July 31 you’ll get an early bird bonus — ten areas instead of 8! Plus early birds will get access to special sales, class coupons, and new items.
The Forum starts September 1 and lasts at least through March 31 or until every canvas is covered. Previously the Forum lasted through April or later. It’s tons of inspiring content that will energize your stitching, I know it’s done that for me.
If you take an in-person forum you can expect to pay $300 or more for one day of classes. Even some on-line classes cost hundreds of dollars. With my Canvas Enhancement Forum you’ll get 6 months or more of great instruction for only $49. That’s right, for less than $50 you’ll learn so much in a Forum that’s tailored to your interests as stitchers.
This works out to be just a bit more than $5 per area for the canvases you submit, for early birds it’s under $5 per area. The ideas you get from other folk’s canvases are just a huge bonus!
There are only a limited number of spaces in the Forum and it fills up fast. Sign up soon to get started on a great needlepoint adventure!
I heard from many students that they learned so much from the Forum and were able to finish up canvases. I know I loved the variety of canvases submitted and all the ideas folks had. Students wait for the chance to sign up for each year’s session and many have canvases chosen for enhancement before they sign up.
In-person Enhancement classes are among the most expensive needlepoint classes out there, but my class is a very affordable $49. You can register easily by PayPal, even using a credit card, by using the link below. It’s such a great and affordable way to improve you needlepoint and stitch those canvases you love,
