My popular Beginner’s Needlepoint Forum begins March 1. and lasts at least six months. It’s better than ever. Here’s what’s in the Forum:
- Twice-weekly emails covering stitches, and every other topic you need to know to stitch lovely needlepoint.

All this is only $39 for the full six-month+ program. You’ll be delighted by what you learn, it’s far more than any in-person class can teach you and all at a bargain price!
If you sign up before FAebruary 15 you’ll get a free bonus, my popular Picking the Perfect Canvas mini-class!

Finding great needlepoint education can be so difficult if you are a beginner. There are no shops close by. In-person classes are expensive and don’t teach many stitches. You love needlepoint and are hungry to learn but where are the classes and projects suited to your skills?
The answer is right here. You’ll learn dozens of stitches plus easy ways you can vary them, even if you are just learning, to create even more stitches. You’ll be able to ask questions and take advantage of my half-century of stitching and thinking about needlepoint. In this class, you’ll learn how to pick canvases that are suited to your skill level and how best to pick threads and stitches for them. And you will get instructions for projects that fit you, not an advanced stitcher.
In the optional technique classes, you’ll get even more projects that will teach my easy methods for techniques that many teachers and shops consider advanced. Each class has projects that you can accomplish successfully and easily.

The pictures in this article are the canvases for the three labs. New for this year will be another lab about painted stitches canvases. In this lab, you’ll learn about what these popular canvases are, how to recognize them (with lots of examples), and how to stitch them.
This class will prepare you for a lifetime of creatively stitching needlepoint — all for an affordable price. Use the button below to suign up for this great opportunity.
You can register for the class using the button below. It will take you to PayPal, my payment processor, where you can use your PayPal account, a major credit card, or an electronic check to pay.
If you have taken the Forum before and would just like to get the new material, please contact me. Use this link as well if you would like to sign up but prefer to pay another way.
I love this class and I’m really looking forward to having you join it!

I’m curious about the supplies for the Beginners Class–how we acquire them and the cost.
To practice the stitches and do the projects, you can use materials you have. Stitching the labs & stitch-alongs is optional. For the three laqbs last year the cost was between $75 & $110 for each lab, including the canvas & threads. I don’t have the prices yet for the stitch-alongs but I am figuring the cost will be about $60 for each canvas and the cost of the threads will depend on the threads you choose.
Materials list for each lab & SAL will be provided in plenty of time for you to get the threads.
Because the labs & SALs are optional but students always get all instructional materials, this forum can be easily done on a budget, many have done so in the past.
Keep stitching,
Janet
Hi,

Thank you

Janet
Hi Janet I was not aware of the class until today. I have paid via PayPal.
Glad you are joining us!
Keep stitching,
Janet
I just paid for the course and look forward to learning new stitches. However, I believe that I input an incorrect email address. Can you help me correct it?
Will there be videos on how to do the stitches?
You’ll get a welcome message in the next couple of days. The Forum begins on Sunday.
Keep stitching,
Janet
There are diagrams, but no videos. The Forum uses technology that is available to all.
Keep stitching,
Janet
I’ll send the welcome message to your PayPal address, which is the only one I get. If you want to use a different address, just use this site’s contact form to let me know.
Keep stitching,
Janet
Thinking about joining this class, is this a learn as you go class? Are the materials available anytime on line??
I have no current supplies for needlepoint, this is a totally new adventure for me. What should I purchase to get the most out of the class.?
Thanks, Sandy Deustachio
It is learn as you go. There will be posts about materials and I am always available to answer individual questions if you need more help.
Getting supplies is covered, don’t worry about it.
Keep stitching,
Janet
Is it too late to join ?
No, I will get you caught up.
Keep stitching,
Janet
Hello Janet, I just came upon this class description. I missed it this time, but I would love to join a future class if you will be repeating it! Could you please let us know when that might be? If you’re not sure yet, is there a way we could be notified when an upcoming Beginner’s Needlepoint Forum is scheduled so we don’t miss it again? Thank you!
I do it every year from March 1 to September 1. Registration will open in late January or February and will be announced here on the blog.
Thanks for asking!
Keep stitching,
Janet
