There are lots of great new canvases to tell you about today. Some of these are available now, some will be released soon, and some are only available for ordering. Contact your local shop for information.
Kirk & Bradley has four new “spooky” destination rounds available. They are Big Foot Country, Alcatraz, Salem, and Transylvania. There are also new country and ski destination rounds. They have a new gingerbread house square and a traditional pillow of a turtle in the classic colors of blue & white. New canvases from Tout le Monde include LLBean canvas totes with lobsters in them. This canvas comes in several colors. Lobsters also adorn canvases of fishing waders. The lobsters snuggle under the suspenders, available in different colors.
I love so many of Pippin’s new designs. There are new dozens canvases with 12 white T-shirts or 12 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. Two new fives canvases I love are five crows (we have tons of crows here on our island) and five colorful Christmas crakers. I want them both! I also love the five lobsters on a platter. It’s in the style that has a saying on the border. Each of the red lobsters is in a different pattern. One of the new canvases makes a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. It’s a close-up of a mosquito on skin with the words “Prepare to Feast” on the skin — I love it! There are also lots of new minis, including three lovely doves. Finally, the City of Jerusalem from her Judaic collage is now available. I’ll be doing a titch guide on this in 2022.
PLD Designs has a beautiful new Star of David as well as a canvas full of pink pansies in a retro 1960’s style. Raymond Crawford has a glorious fresh wreath that features colorful, plain Christmas ornaments in several sizes. The canvas will be the most fantastic place to show off great stitches in sparkly threads. It is available on both 13 and 18 mesh. Lauren Bloch has added destination rounds for landmarks in Washington DC. Stitch Style has new Queen Elizabeth stamps available in three colors. Philadelphia stitchers might also love the Main Line canvas, just out from Belmead. Finally, Skooters Designs has taken a different approach to rounds. Their new series has a grinch hand dangling a small round bauble. These come with designer and more traditional baubles on them.
Judy Tasch has expanded her line with designer-inspired Christmas trees as well as new coasters and sayings. Cabell Stitchery has three new abstract art faces. Hello Tess has new rounds for different times of the year. Jessica Tongel has released four new canvases that are the covers of popular children’s books. My favorite new canvas from Ziggy Stitches is Crime Show Junkie, done in the cut-out letters style of a ransom note. Rachel Donley has expanded her cup line with a bunch of new Christmas cups and ones for other drinks. Cocktails are on the mind of Raymond Crawford, who has a series of martini glasses, each filled with squares in different shades of the same color. These are perfect for showing off stitches. He also has a new fun Beatles canvas that has an excellent 1960’s feel.
WIPstitch has added two hot sauce canvases, one for Frank’s and one for Chouhala. The company has also added lots of new Jeeps, including designer ones and ones for different holidays. There are new additions to the stamps line and a series of 12-days rounds. VNG has several new bird canvases including a seagull with a lighthouse and a pair of ducks the are facing each other bill to bill. They also have four trios of holiday gnomes. A fun new series uses oyster shells as outlines for small sea creatures in blue.
Hedgehog has new vintage luggage tags. The popularity of these tags is inspiring some finishers to do them up in leather, like real tags. Kristine Kingston is making bag tags that you can order for your favorite school. These are now available for pre-order. Needlepoint by Laura has another great collegiate idea. Signposts have four different areas pointing to local hangouts and school landmarks. While some schools are currently available, you can also order these for your school. She also has hotel keys (remember those key tags with the hotel name?). You can order them in your choice of colors with the name of your favorite hotel.
Laura Love has a new pennant banner in Valentine’s colors. Audrey Wu has new canvases, one with a distinct Bay Area feel. There is a Fisherman’s Wharf sign and mini-socks and squares that have a Sixties folk-art feel. JP Needlepoint has a sun-bathing Santa on the beach in a new canvas as well as a Biker Santa round. To go with the sunning Santa, there is Beachy Christmas with a tree decorated with shells. They also have a classic design featuring open fans in several colors. New from SilverStitch is a library box in honor of the Little Free Library movement. They have also added a taco truck to their food truck series.
SG Designs has a hot chocolate tin. Kirkland Designs has a trophy wife canvas of a loving cup trophy. Alice & Blue has a surfboard canvas of seven surfboards that are outlines. This will allow you to pick colors and stitches to make the canvas unique. Rachel Barri has several new toile designs in different colors. Eye Candy has added mini-socks to their line of mod ornaments. They have also added new ornaments in all three color schemes in the Colors of Christmas series. Finally, Needle Delights has several new project packs, including Twinkle that has smaller stars in several color schemes and Star of Stitches with one large star featuring many stitches in each arm.
