Most of the time if I’m stitching for work on Sundays it’s because I have to because of a deadline. Today I’m stitching for work because I want to. I’m finishing up the May cupcake for my club.
I’m not going to give you a peak, I want it to be a surprise to the club members. But I’ll give you a hint — it’s a May Basket cupcake.
The inspiration comes from my friend Annie who makes the most beautiful and delicious cakes. They are gorgeous and always an inspiration. I decided I could decorate cupcakes in needlepoint instead of buttercream.
So the club was born. Each month club members get the instructions to make a different cupcake. Each month they use either a different technique or a different kind of embellishment to decorate.
Every month I get so excited about stitching these little gems I can hardly put them down. Each month there are different stitches as well as the embellishments and techniques. Because they are ornament-sized they make great small pictures or gifts. one of the club memes is even making a sampler of hers.
You can see some of them released so far in this article. There are some great ones coming up!
I will accept new members in the club but only this week. Just click on the button below to join (it’s only $50).
