You know how sometimes the things you have to do just get the better of you and you just need to stop for a bit and rest? At work we always called these “mental health days.” Now that my husband telecommutes most days he calls them “play days.”
It just gives you a chance to reboot. The week is just past half over and I feel as if it’s been two weeks long already. It’s not that there are tons of bad things happening, it’s just that there are too many things happening. No need to go into details, but yesterday I wasn’t able to get down to do actual work until about 3PM. I finished about 8:30 and never got to sit and stitch.
I need at least a morning off and today is it.
I’m taking a stitchy mental health day and I’m going to work on the project I started last night. Ok, so it’s not a vacation, but it’s a mental one and that’s all I need right now.
