Although supply chain problems continue to trouble every industry, including ours, fall is a big season for introducing new needlepoint projects. With two tradeshows coming up this weekend and early next month, there is plenty to cover.
Today I’ll be starting my coverage of new products. This coverage will continue next Monday & Thursday as well as after the November market.
Strictly Christmas Etc. has a new entry in their popular series of Santas. He’s ready for Halloween with a pumpkin-decorated coat, a black cat, and a bare tree. A stitch guide by June McKnight is available. Pepperberry has a flying witch bunny available as an ornament. Another canvas in the series is a wrapped mummy’s face with two green eyes staring out. Laurie Walden wrote the optional stitch guides. Kangaroo Paw has new Halloween hearts with patterns in stripes.
Canvas & Thread has a lovely realistic meadowlark canvas available. The 10″ square canvas has a vivid green background. Another canvas from the company has a great walking cheetah, available on both 13 and 18 mesh. Madeline Elizabeth has a leaf-munching brontosaurs canvas with a striped background. Kangaroo Paw has new key fobs featuring sorority mascots. One of my favorite artists is Anderson Design Group, especially their vintage-style Notional Park posters. Anne Fisher’s licensed artist, SAL Panasci, has a lovely canvas of a floral bouquet in a glass jar. Another lovely Anne Fisher canvas is a fun fabric-like canvas by artist Jean Mason. Gone Stitching’s canvases reproductions of famous paintings now include Klimt’s Kiss and Van Gogh’d House in Auvere.

The canvas, from licensed artist Debi Hubbs, won’t be available until January but can be ordered now.
Judi & Co has canvas with blocks of color perfect for showing off stitches. The canvas, “Stitching at Starbucks,” is available in three colors and comes with a butterfly chart for the center. Please note: You will not find links in my new products articles. That’s because not every company updates its website and many announcements on other platforms are not accessible to the public. Rather than subject you to this frustration, Nuts about Needlepoint does not include product links in our new product articles.
