
Penny Linn has a new series of canvases inspired by Nantucket. You’ll find Nantucket cottages and street scenes as well as frames, ornaments, and belts inspired by the island. The company also added new letter destinations and holidays. Sew Much Fun has an adorable patchwork 3-D whale. There is a stitch guide available for it. The company also has four new gift tags, two for Halloween and two for Christmas. They have also added inserts for the popular acrylic purses. They are 4×7. Recently the company brought out a large striped heart. A smaller version 3.25″ square is nor available in pastel shades of violet, blue, and pink.
Both Rachel Barri and Colors of Praise are making 3×6 inserts for Rachel’s new leather clutches. Many single-sided glasses cases will also fit these bags. Rachel has three 3×3 jewel drop accents in different colors. Choose from a pearl hanging from a diamond bow, a ruby, or an emerald. New from Mopsey are colorful round coasters in mod colors. Pepperberry has an ornament round that’s a wreath with space for an initial. VNG has a 12 Days set of rounds. Some shops are planning clubs on the series.
Colors of Praise has stunning new small foldover clutch purses. Each side has a different pattern, doubling the fun you can have with them. The company also has striking canvases of three colorful marbles and new shaped purse straps. A very cool idea is needlepoint baseball hat brims. You stitch the brim & then take it back to the shop for finishing. There are over 20 brims, each with a different colored hat.
Patricia Sone has an angel tree topper. This would be wonderful with her series on angel ornaments. She also has an American flag project. It will be released soon with its stitch guide. Birds of a Feather has new London and Paris travel scenes, a stack of luggage, and a street with a wonderful red trolley. Stitch Style has a new round with seven presents. The stitch guide teaches seven ways to make bows. Ellen Skidmore is a new licensed artist for The Meredith Collection. Her designs feature ladies in big skirts.
Tina Griffin has a stunning new 3-D house with hydrangeas around it. She also has a charming mobile of snowflakes. Four smaller flakes hang from the largest round. In Rebecca Wood’s series of large scenes, there is a new Halloween design. It’s full of haunted houses, witches with cauldrons, and flying dragons. Ann Kaye is adding a handyman to her line of sporty Santas. She also has bold new crab and lobster ornaments. Elizabeth Crane Swartz has a new design of letters available in several different sizes, including a belt.
Rachel Donley has added new gingerbread men, including one for graduation. I told you about the collaboration between Rachel and Anne Fisher with Anne’s sleds on Rachels’s cups. There are also two of Anne’s sleds with Rachel’s gingerbread men on them. They are just too cute! Love You More is making its newest designs available as both printed and painted canvases. One of these is a fun Advent calendar. it’s finished on a metal board; you use your magnets to mark each day. It’s such a clever idea. The company also has a lovely folk art bird in shades of blue and a beautiful fall bouquet.
KCN Designers has added two new designers: Hello Tess and Ziggy Stitches. Several of KCN’S animal designs are available as repeating prints on mini-socks and pillows. There is also a fun steam locomotive with Santa driving that’s available as either a round ornament or repeated as a pillow or full-size stocking. There are also new additions to the popular bows with five new blue ones.
Penny Linn has new bags where you insert the needlepoint. There is a cross-body bag where you stitch the front and an accessory bag. She also has four new bags that take needlepoint inserts. Canvas boat totes (think LL Bean) come in two sizes taking either a 2×4 or 3×6 insert. A twill and leather tote takes a 4″ round insert. It’s elegant enough to be a work bag. It also has a companion wristlet, also with space for a 4″ round. I am so happy the canvas totes are back; I’ve missed them. I hope there are more insert sizes available soon.
Rachel Barrie has a pebbly leather jewelry case that fits a 4″ square insert. It’s nicely fitted out inside to hold rings and other items. It comes in light blue and black. A smaller jewelry box takes a 3×3 insert and comes in pink, red, or light blue velvet.
