With markets last month and next month, you’d think announcements would be quieter. Even so, there is plenty of news to share.
Needlepaint has come out with 4″ round astrology sign canvases, with DMC floss optional. The designs are very cute. Hedgehog has a new “Give a Damn” travel tag that you can receive free with a $50 donation to selected charities. JP Needlepoint has a stunning new canvas of three Chinese peonies on a cheetah-print backgroud. Ramsay Gourd has two new Baby Sleeping signs and several new key fobs.
SilverStitch has a new collection of Easter canvases including an egg-filled basket and a lavender gingham clutch. Audrey Wu has several gingham designs including teddy bears in vests, rocking horses with gingham saddles, bunnies, and a pretty gingham vase. The bars and bunnies are available in your choice of pink, blue, or brown gingham. Alice Peterson has added another fun tree to accompany its pizza tree — this one is a watermelon slice. Another great canvas from the company is a gingerbread house stocking.
Kangaroo Paw has introduced 2×3 tags with a golf theme. The company has also licensed a special collection of Greek designs from the original artist. The designs are modern and colorful. Stitch One is a charted needlepoint company. Its Art Nouveau style designs are keyed to Waverly Wool. Kelly Clark has two new magnificent country roosters, full of color and texture. Judi & Co has a new clutch full of lovely butterflies. It’s available with a blue or black background. Initial K has added Ikat-inspired designs to their line. Love You More has added printed canvases to their line, available on 14 or 18 mesh.
Kate Dickerson has great new canvases including a colorful Mexican-inspired Amore canvas, an NYC scene with a yellow taxi cab, and a Chinese teapot vase filled with striped lilies. She also has new mini shoe ovals including two bow-trimmed velvet loafers. She also has a new all-blue spotted Staffordshire dog. He’s wearing a collar with a Star of David charm.
Jean Smith has new canvases in her spring garden series, one featuring a pansy. Madeline Elizabeth has added three new animal canvases (tiger, bear, and lion) to her “Critters in Boots” series. She also has a charming series of simple flowers that would be great for beginners to stitch. The Meredith Collection has a series of six pumpkins in hats called McPumpkins. Each comes with a stitch guide by Meredith Willett.
Classic Colorworks has four new colors of floss: Storm Lake Sunrise (dusty rose), Fields of Green (green), Cottage Daisies (yellow), and Priscilla’s Peppermint (pink). Dinky Dyes has 17 new colors of silk, mostly solids, and six new scissors. Threadworx is adding new colors to several of their threads including floss, metallics, and Vineyard Silk. Puffin & Co is now making notecards with one of its needle nannies. With blank interiors, they can be used for any occasion.
