I just love this Christmas Star ornament from Carol Young, a needlepoint and cross stitch designer from Australia.
It’s so easy to do, featuring a large star in metallic with stitches in overdyed threads around it. Carol comments in her post with the directions, that the design is about 1.5″ square so it could be finished as other small items.
I’m thinking that it would be fun to expand the background with other stitches in solid colors to make it a twinchy (2″ square) to frame or use as an ornament.
The design recently was reposted on a private Facebook group, but I contacted Carol to get the original link, so we all could enjoy this delightful and quick project.
