My list of things to do and aggravations was as long as my forearm this week. I needed to finish the kimono (which got finished on time). I needed to read the first volume of Kristin Lavransdotter (for Book Club last night). I had class administration to do and thread orders to make.
Oh and the remodeling is in high gear with the toilet out in the bathroom and tile going on the floors. That’s been tremendously frustrating but things appear to be progressing according to my DH. I can’t see in because the plastic covering the door opening (new door is in the driveway) to keep the cats out keeps me from seeing in.
And then to top it all off, I got the Mother of all allergy attacks on Sunday. Now that I have codeine cough medicine to take I’m doing better. But until Wednesday I was having coughing fits once an hour, sneezing fits and a runny nose. What a mess!
I have two Sunday stitching projects for today. The first is working on a 3-D Hershey’s Kiss ornament. It’s stitched as silver on silver but happily it’s painted as white and silver. I’m hoping to finish up the darker silver in Carolyn’s Tiny Stitch, below, today and start the lighter silver in another stitch from her Teeny Tiny Stitches book. That will give me three ornaments stitched (out of five), with one left to do.
If I get tired of that I’m going back to work on the green Petei King, top of article, for the nativity. I just have the robe to finish. That only leaves the stripy king left to do.
