A couple of weeks ago my lovely needlepoint wallet died. The adhesive keeping the needlepoint in place lost all stickiness and the stitching started to come out.
Clearly it was time for a new wallet. I wanted one that woiuld show off my needlepoint so it needed to have an ID pocket on the outside. I would have been very happy if I could find one with two ID pockets but no one makes them any more.
I found one and bought it. Today I hope to finish the insert. I had some samples from ages ago of canvases that are painted different colors. I picked one of those in light turquoise and am stitching in a vintage teal thread from Needle Necessities.
To make it simple I’m using just one stitch, this great combination of Scotch and Mosaic, below.
It will be very distinctive in my new coral wallet.
