With the next TNNA market coming up in less than two weeks, there will be lots of new products coming out. Today and tomorrow I thought I’d give you a peek at some of them.
JulieMar has several delightful new designs from the artist Kamala. One is a series of fashionable purses with either puppies or kittens in them. There are 16 puppies and 5 kittens in the collection. They could be finished as stand-ups, cell phones cases, ornaments, or small purses. A second lovely series from this designer is a set of 12 Bride’s ornaments. The 3″ circular ornaments each represent different virtues such as Joy.
Laurel Burch designs will be featured in a new line of kits from Mill Hill. These designs are stitched on linen and are about six inches square. The six kits in the line are complete and include beads. They are also available with 14 count Aida as the cloth. Mill Hill also has frames to fit these. Another series of kits from Mill Hill is on their perforated paper and has autumn themes.
CBK has added several designs by artist Laura Megroz to their line. There are lots of dog canvases, including a bold full-size stocking of a black Lab in kind of a Mad Men-style silhouette (great for a first needlepoint project). There are also several boot ornaments that include iconic boot styles such as Wellies (rain boots), and the LL Bean “duck” boot. There’s lots more to love from this designer.
Leigh Designs upcoming series is “Gold Diggers” These fashionably dressed modern ladies are on 18-mesh sand canvas. j child designs has added a new line of needlepoint kits, as well as new glasses cases. Many of the kits are 4″ square designs on 13-mesh that are also available in canvas-only.
Ashley Bradley has an adorable set of three Halloween cocktails. It’s not that the drinks look strange, it’s what’s with them. One has a martini glass with a ghostly stem, another has eyeballs instead of cocktail onions, and a third has a broom instead of a swizzle stick. These and other delightful seasonal touches make these great decorations.
Kirk & Bradley has a great new series of city rounds ornaments. These 4″-round designs have the name in larger letters and them small iconic buildings and other items associated with the city. I saw ones for New York Rome, London, and Paris. Canvas Art by Barbi has a charming series of Fairie doors. The canvases are 6″ square on 18-mesh. If you know someone who’s nuts for Fairy Gardens, these would be a great gift.
& more has added a new light to their line up called the Z-Bar. It comes in two sizes and several colors. Instead of a traditional bulb there is a slim row of LEDs. The bends in the light will allow you to move the light to illuminate in any direction. They also have a new thread called Wirelace. It comes in 30 colors and in four widths. The widths are 1mm, 3mm, 6mm, and 12mm. All but the 1mm can expand to more than 3 timers the original width. Right now all sizes but 12mm come in 30 colors, 12mm comes in 16.
