Adding to her popular stitches note cards, Sandy Grossman-Morris has added this charming gift enclosure card.
On the front is a small stitched heart (stitch diagram on back). They are stitched with a variety of red threads and include a needle. The front reads “I made this just for you.”
Inside you have an opportunity to provide some information about the piece. There are lines for who and for what occasion the piece was made, and plenty of space for historical notes.
I love Sandy’s advice on a separate sheet. She says ‘A gift that is truly “From the Heart”, [sic] very often becomes a family heirloom. Passing from generation to generation, questions arise; who made it, when, why, where, did the maker embellish with any items of significance? Tuck this card in with your present as a gift to the future.”
The cards are charming and delightfully made. I know I’d love to know the story behind some of our family’s inherited needlework. These cards are a clever and charming way to do just that.
Please note: These cards were provided to me for purposes of review.
