The popular can cozies are also coming in packages combined with the can cozy canvases. You can also buy the canvases on their own (this is what I do). Ann Kaye has a new stitching Santa as part of the sporty Santa line. Laura Love has a stunning canvas with winter foliage around the words “let heaven and nature sing.” You can also get it with nothing in the middle to be customized. There are also four ornaments. All of these are her Christmas botanicals series.
Raymond Crawford has a new set of nativity ovals that are quite charming. My favorites in this 1`0 canvas series are the calf and donkey sitting in flowers. He also has an Eiffel Tower canvas in your choice of four pastel colors. There is a new series of cowboy boots ornaments, with mostly Southwestern-themed designs. He also has new eye canvases, available in several colors, that are designed to be brooches. Finally, he has new series for Alice in Wonderland and a great series of patterned chess pieces.
Blueberry Point has two canvases based on paintings by her mother. One is a rose on a crackle background. The other is a Santa. Penny Linn has several round ornament designs celebrating life events, such as getting a new puppy or becoming grandparents. In the company’s line of decorated words and places are canvases for The Grateful Dead, Hanukkah, and Chrismukkah. The Grateful Dead has the iconic bears, along with the skull and some tie-dye.
Coco Frank has three destination rounds for Washington DC, New York City, and London. Poppy has new designer-inspired sweaters. Find ones for Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vitton, and Hermes. New canvases from JP Needlepoint include a lovely set of patterned pumpkins and an adorable glasses case with a mom & baby sea otter. Sandra Gilmore has a new beachy canvas and a canvas of a little girl in a wicker chair. There is a new Curtis Boehringer Santa and a new coaster of a brook trout from dede.
Melissa Shirley has two delightful white bunnies with filled baskets on their backs. One is for St. Valentine’s Day. The other is for spring or Easter. Other bunnies are for fall, Halloween, and Christmas. There is a lovely new seaside wreath. The wreath, in driftwood colors, has shells and a sand dollar almost covering the wreath. From licensed artist Mary Lake Thompson there are lots of new flower canvases and a great gardening bunny in a vegetable garden. The designer has tons of new flowers and botanicals. Her Christmas lady canvas with a trimmed Christmas tree skirt has an Art Deco style.
Also from Melissa is a series of hummingbirds with different ornaments in their beaks. She has a new winter bench with a bright red bench. There are two new full-size stockings with winter cottages. A new snowman design is available on three canvases in different sizes. There are wonderful new Vicki Sawyer canvases, including a cardinal wearing a sunflower seed mask. Finally, Melissa has three new animals wearing hats of Christmas flora & fauna. My favorite of these is a sheep wearing a hat with a cardinal between two chickadees.
There is a new maker of acrylic trays, Island House. The company is trying to make acrylic items in standardized size, making it easier for designers to make canvases for them. Anne Fisher and other designers are making items to fit these trays and coasters. Island House is interested in working with shops. The Collection has a neat series called Slip Stitch & Go. These canvases have an inset on 13 mesh that’s about 5×4. They come with a tote bag.

Do you have plastic coasters that can cover and protect needlepoint coasters?
Janet M Perry says
I am not a shop, and don’t carry products. However, there are acrylic coasters from Rachel Barri and Cooper Oaks and wooden coasters from Sudberry that will offer protection for stitched coasters.
Keep stitching,
Janet
