
Kate Dickerson has an ostrich canvas in the bright patchy style of Megan Cairn added to her line. The canvas is 6.25×8 for quick stitching. Licensed artist Mia Charro is bringing an adorable holiday fox to the line. The charming critter is dressed for the season in a sweater, scarf, and a winter flower wreath. Also from Mia is a giraffe with a flower-bedecked headdress. A great canvas from Kate is in her new Chic & Glamorous Collection. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is depicted with her blonde pageboy and round Chanel glasses. She is also now making ”ornament rounds of many of her “Keep Calm” canvases.
Sew Much Fun has two Halloween gift tags in the shape of coffins, along with Halloween tags in a more traditional shape. They also have a new wreath with six pumpkins: all dressed up for Halloween. There is plenty of room for embellishments on these goodies! Alice Peterson has a series of four round ornaments featuring gnomes in Christmas settings. The canvas will fit 4” round items.
Needle Delights has several new charted needlepoint pieces. New to existing series are Ripple Rotation 4 and Seaglass (in the Color Delights series). Zigzag is the first in a three-part series featuring patterns and stitches on the diagonal. Banded by Bargello was a class offered through the Shining Needle Society. It’s now available as a chart pack. The seven columns of this colorful design have both Bargello and stitch patterns.
& more has a new card box featuring round simple Christmas designs. From their licensed artist, Ilene Fekee, there is a Halloween canvas with a pumpkin patch, trick or treaters, and lots of fall fun. The popular sayings now come in a new size – 4×3.5 inches. Penny MacLeod has a fun new canvas called “Pick a Tree.” It has 36 small funky trees in a checked border. It would be a fantastic stash-buster project.
Susan Roberts has several Christmas cones in a small size that would make them great tabletop decorations. Abigail Cecile is now a part of PLD Designs. Griffin Designs has charming snowflake canvases that are silver & white on blue. They come in several sizes. They also have a lovely series of country French flowers, five in all, in 4” squares. Decorations has come out with a tea cozy canvas in the traditional tobacco leaf pattern. It’s great too coordinate with table settings, pillows, and other items in this iconic style.
Rainbow Gallery has nine new colors of Silk Lame. These colors are available in all three sizes of this thread. There are now 253 colors in this thread. They have also added two new colors of Neon Rays + (both orange) and six new colors of Soft Sheen Fyre Werks. Vineyard Silks has added three new grays to their line. Kreinik has added four new metallic colors, including a lovely copper, a pretty light green, and bright gold and magenta.
Pepperberry has added new breeds to the dogs in Santa hats collection. The new ones include Chihuahua, Rough Collie, and Rottweiler. JP Needlepoint’s new canvases include a long dachshund whose back is carrying lots of cakes. They also have a canvas of colorful butterflies and one I just love of bright Oriental lanterns.
Janice Gaynor has a new gnome-themed Christmas square. It’s a generous 12.5” on 18 mesh. Jean Smith has a magnificent pink and green mum. If you like this color combination but want something different, this is a great piece. On 13 mesh, it’s a 14” square. Painted Pony has a charming harvest bike by licensed artist Danielle Murray. It’s available as a picture or an ornament. Another of their artists, Teresa Kogut, has a magnificent folk art canvas of two moose nose-to-nose on a fun woodland background.
Mindy has beautiful new decorative boxes with canvases designed to match them. Each box has a black bottom and a colorful top along with a decorative closing. I saw 13 different colors in all. The popular blogger Jenny Henry is now making her designs available as painted canvas. Many of these are available on 13 mesh. Needlepaint has brought out a charming new series of winter woodland creatures including a pillow, a stocking, and six ornaments.
Just another Button Company has added seasonal favorites to their Just for Fun button packs. These packs contain at least three colors of their tiny sprinkle buttons (I love these) along with a few seasonal buttons to add accents. They also have round letter buttons that are large, 5/8”, and great for adding words or names with a different look. Victoria Whiston is now making scissor fobs. Made from pleather, the tassel fobs come with a thread cutter and needle threader. Mill Hill’s perforated paper kits have come out with a series of four messages for life.
