Sometimes I feel as if my life is like the Meyer lemon tree in my backyard — heavy with lemons. I started the month with getting my MS infusion. Almost immediately when I git in the car, my threat started hurting.
I was not worried because sore throats are a common side effect & I have had them other times. The alert reader will note that this is also a symptom of colds, or of Omnicron. So I spent four days trying to get answers from the drug manufacturer, my neurologist, and the Internet. The result was to go to an urgent care place & get tested for COVID.
But the results from them didn’t come back for 8 days. Yes, you read that right. But I took an at home test six days earlier and it was positive. Everyone else at home had it too. No fun.
We were all COVID-free by Jan 24. So last week, I was so happy because I could finally get back to normal amounts of work.
Lemons were not through with me. Last Tuesday my power wheelchair quit working. Wednesday I called the manufacturer and had to book a video appointment, which was on Thursday. But they got it wrong. It’s been rescheduled for today.
Who knows how long after that I’ll be moving on my own again?
So I cannot move without help. Someone has to move me everywhere: the bathroom, to get thread, and on and on. As a result, most of the things I would like to do I can’t complete. It’s wildly frustrating.
Maybe by next week I’ll be able to live some kind if life & be back to posting.
Sorry for the rant, I’m just too frustrated to think.
Update: I did finally have my wheelchair call. It turns out that the pigtail connection from the joystick had come loose & the joystick died. The new joystick will arrive on Wednesday. And I’ll ship back the old joystick, they will repair it for free & send it back, so I will have a spare.
I should be back to normal by mid-week.

Your lemon tree is gorgeous! Meyer is my favorite. Our winter storm last February wiped out citrus here in Houston. Enjoy!
The new part is supposed tp be here on Wednesday. I’m hoping things will improve quickly after that.
Keep stitching,
