Lately, I have been making good progress on projects. Right now I am in the position of deciding what Sunday project to work on next. I have a couple of big projects I could (and should) work on. I also have several small UFO’s that sit by my stitchy chair. Should I work on one of those? Of course, there are more projects for upcoming classes, blog posts, and clubs.
There is always the lure of a brand new project. I can always tell when that itch is bothering me because I start looking at canvases on-line and dreaming about new projects. This happens even though my stash is huge.
Here’s when the Noonday Devil (the sin of sloth) comes up and grabs me. To start a new project I will need to pick the canvas, get out the right size stretcher bars, pull the threads, mount the canvas, and assemble it all in a project bag. I know I’ll be so happy stitching the new piece. I know none of this is inconvenient or hard, but that little devil whispers to me that it’s easier not to do it.
So I will most likely work on one of the UFO’s and hope I’ll have more energy next week. Does this ever happen to you?
