All too often we get into needlepoint ruts. We know that there are all kinds of easy techniques that can be applied to needlepoint but, all to often, we don’t stray far from the stitches that are our familiar friends. I know I’m as guilty of this as anyone.
I want this year to be different for all of us. I want use to expand our notion of needlepoint to include for easy techniques through the next series of 25 Stitches classes. In these four three-month, three-lesson classes, you’ll learn 25 Laidwork stitches, 25 Gobelin Stitches (including Bargello), 25 Laidwork Stitches, and 25 Darning Patterns.
You may have thought that some of these techniques are hard. Or you may have thought they couldn’t be done on needlepoint canvas. However, every one of them can be done with ease on needlepoint canvas, even by beginners.

How Do the Classes Work?
Each class is three months long. The first two lessons in each class present the 25 stitches in a notebook format. They are specially formatted to encourage you to stitch your own samples and to create a permanent reference. The last lesson in each class has a sampler using several of the stitches you have learned.
It’s great fun and a wonderful way to learn new stitches and techniques. You’ll be so jazzed by the great stitches and ideas you’ll learn throughout the year.

does the price of the class include the cost of materials?
The 25 Stitches classes do not include materials. You learn the stitches, creating your stitch notebook by using scraps of canvas and threads from your stash.
The sampler project would need materials purchased by you, usually 18-mesh canvas and threads in colors of your choice.
