Pippin has an absolutely charming small apple basket canvas. There is also a new nines of stsrfish. I love the color scheme of warm-colored starfish against grey backgrounds. Besides the new five fishing poles, there are nine fishing lures and five fishing bobs. A new canvas from Raymond Crawford has Santa driving a red truck full of a Christmas tree and other goodies. It’s available on 13 or 18 mesh.
Pepperberry has seven new eggs, four with animals, three with flowers. There are five Dala horse designs plus another one with a snowflake design. Two snowmen dressed as nutcrackers would make excellent small stand-ups. A new series is French Country Mittens with silhouettes of different farm animals. Several of Pepperberry’s popular series have new additions incuding snowmen stockings, national flag hearts, and dogs in Santa hats. I was really delighted with the new series of squares showing animals dressed for winter.
Melissa Shirley has tons of lovely new canvases from Vicki Sawyer, including both single animals and groups. My favorites are a hummingbird nesting in a blooming cactus, I also love the toucan in the colorful candy necklace. I counted 25 new canvases by Sawyer. You’ll also find a lovely set of six banners featuring hearts and other spring designs in soft pinks and other pastels. The same designs are also available as squares. There are new patterned hearts in both a small and large sizes.
In botanical canvases from Melissa are three new orchids as well a several new schoolroom-style canvases. You’ll find nasturums, apples, and a pair of lemons with a bee. There is a lovely canvas of a bowl of red pears as well as a lovely floral oval wreath. There are three lovely hearts with realistic portraits of roses in them. Another series of hearts features hearts and birds. In addition, there are several Easter canvases including an outdoor Easter feast and rabbits enjoying themselves in a walled garden.
Melissa Shirley’s other licensed aertists have some lovely new designs. Debbie Mumm has an adorable pair of dressed bunnies for Easter. Mary Lake Thompson has three lovely canvases of flowers with birds, butterflies, or bees. One, sunflowers with goldfinches, is a charming celebration of yellow. She also has an adorable burro with two baskets filled with flowers. Another canvas features a bear beekeeper. Finally there is a longhorn skull adorned with a crown of succulents.
Alexa has charming new stockings with eithe a boy or a girl figure trimming the tree, hanging stockings, or watching for Santa. Alice & Blue has a wonderful canvas that is the front of a Vermont Maple Syrup tin. New from Anne Fisher are guitar straps, available in three patterns. Blue Ridge Stitchery has two lovely key fob canvases of the Blue Ridge. Another great canvas from Blue Ridge is a stocking with dogwood and a cardinal on black.
Alice Peterson has added some new accessories. There are five new scissors jewels that have a variety of different beads and charms hanging from a ring you attach to your scissors. They have also added signficantly to their line of printed canvas bags. These are 6.75×7.5 and are made from canvas. There are over a dozen delightfully humorous sayings on these bags. The company has also added new Stitch & Zip kits. Two different prints, including a blue leopard print are available in several sizes. A third group of three designs has three different sea creatures (starfish, a turtle, or a seahorse) on the same background.
New Alice Peterson Christmas designs include some lovely round ornaments. I love the close-up designs of a gingerbread man and of a penguin. There is also a beautiful round of birch trunks; because birches are my favorite tree I love this one. There are decorative candles with various designs that are 6.25″ high. There are almost 20 in all. In addition to the snowman in the Christmas tree outline, there are three other canvases in this series.
Ewe & Eye has a lovely new series of patriotic sampler square designs. KCN has a new series of witch’s hats with different patterns. There is also a lovely series of simple triangular Christmas trees with different patterns and designs. They also have a pretty Southwest Square in three color choices. New from Kathy Schenkel are more travel and college rounds, plus there is a new series of 2 days popsicles. She has also added to her series of small “I love” designs. These canvases get stitched in a flash and make great ornaments.
