These days canvas enhancement classes are very popular. In them each stitcher picks a canvas & you get a stitch guide written by the teacher.
During the class time the teacher spends time with each student going over that guide. But the big benefit is that students learn from what’s being said about all the canvases. As a result, you’ll get lots of tips to help you with other project.
But if you go to them as I do, with tools, threads, and canvas all a mess, you may not get as much out of the experience. Diane Gassior has taken many of these classes and has several ideas for ways to make them more fruitful. You can read about them in her recent blog post.
