In an email over the weekend, I got the coolest idea from Hedgehog Needlepoint. You can easily turn one of their luggage tags into a passport cover and finish it using the Planet Earth leather passport covers.
Here’s how (from the newsletter, “One only needs to add two rows to the left and right sides of the tag; stitch up to the middle of the circle; block, trim, insert and… Voilà! Retro Travel Tags work beautifully. Planet Earth Fibers Passport Covers come in 8 popping leathers (Black, Navy, Medium Blue, Light Pink, Hot Pink, Aqua, and Lime Green) and are available through your favorite local Needlepoint Shop. ”
This might actually be enough for me to get a new passport, just so I can have a great cover.
