Enhancing your needlepoint with a bit of leather is a lovely way to enhance a design without adding too much bling. I have a charming canvas of adobe houses in my stash that has some leather patches. I’ve been afraid to start it but now I have the confidence to try.
The key is to use a very thin leather, usually kid.
Kreinik is a leading supplier of kid in the small pieces needleworkers need.
Even if you want to use it, you may wonder how to attach it, I know I did.
In a recent blog post, Kreinik has a tutorial on two different ways to attach kid to needlepoint.
