I wasn’t able to work on the birds last Sunday. Today I’m going to work on the Little Black Dress ornament. It came with a stitch guide, which was folded up. From the corner I saw I thought the dress was stitched in Byzantine.
On Friday I was looking for a thread for it and pulled one thread, Very Velvet. It looked as if I had enough for the dress. I only looked at the stitch guide once I sat down to stitch.
Big mistake. I should have two blacks in different textures. What I have instead is two almost fill cards of matching Very Velvet. My current stock of black threads is low.
Now I need to figure out what to do:
— Stitch it all in Very Velvet
— Change the color to navy blue (I have lots of this color)
— Try to find an additional black thread
— Buy a new black thread
If I had looked at the stitch guide first I could have decided this on Friday afternoon.
What would you do?
