This week’s border is done in all Tent Stitch, so it’s incredibly easy. I stitched using an overdyed silk in the main color.
I you are using a multi-color thread, stitch this in straight lines, i.e. Continental. Only use Basketweave if you are using a solid thread. Because the columns and bases are narrow, I would stitch this in Continental even with solid threads.
The chart for this border is below.

You can vary the border by making the columns longer or the bases and tops wider. You can space the columns further apart. Thinner columns could be spaced closer together. If you wanted to make the columns wider, I would also make them longer with wider bases and tops.
This border could be great for many architectural designs (including city scenes), or for designs that have a classical feel. It could even give a classic element to a letter or saying stitched in a classic serif alphabet such as Times Roman.
The border is three threads from the border above it and five threads away from the corner borders.
Come back next week for another great border!
