I found my crazy quilt canvas, so for the next few weeks, the background ideas will be from that.
Today’s background is a pretty trellis stitch I found in Gone Stitching’s newest book, Stitchapalooza! it’s a small Double trellis Stitch, below. It’s hard to see in the picture because I used white Nordic Gold for it. The letters & heart will also be in metallic, so a sparkly background is OK. The canvas & matching needleminder is from Judy Tasch.
This thread also illustrates how nicely the white color can add sparkle and texture while adding no color at all.
