On her blog, Sue Dulle reworked a charming Spring piece that has a bunch of tulips on it.
She didn’t like them as painted so she came up with her own.
And she’s sharing the pattern with us. It uses Bargello-ish Straight Stitches and the flowers touch at the leaf tips.
With the many colors tulips come in, this piece would fit in any decor.
A line of these would make a great deep border. But why not stitch the quartet on its own to be the focal point of a small picture? Add a blackwork or darning pattern background for even more fun.
