I’m planning on stitching this for my grand niece who is due in late May. I love the mid-Century modern look of it and I think it will look fantastic in her nursery which is decorated in Earth tones.
The first decision I made was to stitch the birds in colors that reflect the colors of birds found in Pennsylvania. So I got out my bird book and picked silk colors based on that. The most perplexing ones were the top two on the right. I’m stitching the top one as a goldfinch and the middle one as an Indigo Bunting. leaves.
Stitching the birds has left me perplexed, especially the wings. But I love this suggestion from Sheena’s Sweet Stitches to use Helen’s Lace for the wings.
Thank you, it’s just perfect!
