I really feel for stitchers like me who use Macs. The most common stitch diagramming program, StitchWiz, only runs of PCs. So Mac folks use different things. Jan Fitzpatrick is another stitcher with this problem.
If her design only uses Tent, then she charts using a Cross Stitch program. But many of her pieces use textured stitches, many of which she works out herself.
That creates a problem. Even if you aren’t designing your own pieces and stitches, you will run into times when you don’t know how things will work. That’s when Jan’s advice to work it out on canvas is perfect.
Read how she does it in her recent post.

Hi! I use a Mac and have happily discovered Ursa Graphics and their Mac-based charting software, StitchGraph. It was created for Macs first, before the PC version. Although the company is located in Great Britain, the tech support has been fantastic! Here is the link: https://www.ursasoftware.com/stitchgraph/sgraph.html
