Want to make some great Halloween needlepoint? Take Kreinik’s advice and use their glow-in-the-dark threads. This blog post has lots of tips for doing that. Plus there is a video showing these threads in action.
I like these Kreinik threads because they are actual colors as you can see in my license plate at the top of the article. That means you’ll create designs that look just as good under natural light as they do in the dark.
Another thing you can do with these threads is to take an easy free design, such as my Jack o’Lantern and combine it with stitches that can use two threads, such as Hesitation, below top, or Linenfold, below bottom.
Stitch the face in black metallic and use these the glow-in-the-dark orange to be the accent stitches. At night you’ll have a whole new striped pattern with the black face still the focal point.
