Today I have one simple goal: to finish Mary from the small nativity. Although not very big, the dark clothing poses a challenge. I’ll have to do it this afternoon in the sunny stitching chair.
Once that’s complete I face an unenviable choice. Do I work on work stitching (two projects to finish, one due ASAP), work on gifts (three projects to finish, one due this week), or start something new (one Christmas ornament I have to get done).
I hate problems like this. I know I should work on the work projects but I’m tired. This could be because of the three-hour + power outage in the wee small hours of Saturday morning. Although I did get back to sleep, my body is telling me it wasn’t good sleep. That’s probably because of nearly constant beeping from the stair lift and three smoke alarms.
Maybe once I get moving on the Madonna something will come to me.
Happy Sunday stitching!

Thanks.
I’ve lived in California since 1980 and we rarely had unplanned power failures (unlike the rest of the world). In 2009 we moved to a decommissioned naval base. The problem is that we have an aging infrastructure made for industry not for homes. We get power failures often enough that I keep a battery-powered LED by my desk, we have Coleman lanterns in the bathrooms and a huge one under the TV.
Sometimes when it happens my DH, DS, and I just pack up the car and go out.
Keep stitching, Janet
