Although the weather here is still warm, school is (or has already) started. I thought this pencil and apple from the Dove book,Easy-to-Make Christmas and Holiday Lightcatchers was delightful. It will be a free projects here on Mondays and Thursdays in September.
Today there will be instructions for transferring the design and a materials list.
Tranferring the Design
Begin by clicking on the image above to get the full-size image. Enlarge it to the size you like. The original is about 7″ long.
Once you have the size you like, print it out.
Place it under your canvas on top of a lightbox or in bright light.
Using an extra-fine point marker made for fabric, such as Pigma Microns, trace the design. Straight lines should be on a single thread of canvas. This means you may not be able to trace them. Instead, mark the beginning and ending points and make the line by drawing it on the canvas.
