You’d never know it by looking at my desk, but I do own paperweights. One of them, stitched more than 20 years ago, is a Rozashi sampler that is in a glass paperweight. Paperweights make fantastic ways to finish small needlepoint pieces.
Even if they don’t get used for their intended purpose, they can look lovely displayed on a table or shelf.
Photoweights makes glass paperweights in many sizes and shapes that can be used to finish needlepoint. They come with a self-adhesive finishing kit. You can find instructions on finishing on their site.
You can use canvases you have, projects you want to do, or you can make an Adler-inspired paperweight, pictured above, following these instructions.
