Abigail posted this today on a needlepoint group on Facebook:
Hi everyone!
I’ve made a free guide how to choose stitches! It was the second most requested tutorial (after finishing) and I get it!…it’s only been in the last year that I’ve started feeling really comfortable picking out stitches! The guide includes the steps I take when choosing and a stitch library of my most used stitches and their suggested uses.
To download – go to my website www.abigailcecile.com, enter your email at the top of the page, and a link will be sent to your email. From there you can download or print.
I hope this is unnecessary but please know that this guide is copyrighted and is for personal use only. It is not to be sold, used as a class material, or printed and handed out at will. If you would like to use it for one of these purposes then reach out to me and I’d be happy to discuss the matter.
Plus she has some great resources/tutorials on finishing. You can learn how to finish a wall hanging with only hand-sewing required. Think of this as a great way to finish square or rectangular items when you don’t want to make pillows. I love this idea and plan to put it to work soon.
There is also a tutorial on how to finish a needlepoint ornament. This process is more involved than finishing a wall hanging. With it you’ll get professional results. And that’s great news for those of us who continually miss Christmas finishing deadlines.
Both tutorials have videos as well as illustrated text instructions, so it’s easy to review them as you finish your own projects.
