I have been thinking about stitches that make stripes. This vintage patchwork tree (designer unknown) is going to be a great piece to try out several striped stitches. I stitched the outline in Ten & Reverse Tent using Soft Sheen Fyre Werks.
The bottom left patch is stitched in Cashmere-Mosaic Stripe, below using Rainbow Persian. The stitch has alternating columns of Mosaic and Cashmere Stitches. The Cashmere Stitches are the height of two Mosaics, threads, and 3 threads wide. This creates an uneven stripe.
Next Sunday, another striped stitch.
