Today’s background idea is another Blackwork pattern. This one also begins with squares. They are connected by diagonal lines on two corners of the squares. When stitched in a thread the same weight as you would use to do Tent on the same mesh, it creates a dense pattern, and one that is not as obviously diagonal as you might think.
The stitch is called Euclid and is charted below. The Kirk & Bradley round is stitched using cream (5555) matte metallic from Kreinik.
