I have struggled with the background for this canvas from My Pink Sugar Life. This is my fourth try at a background, largely because I did not like the way any of them interacted with the letters. When you are stitching sayings, you want to stitch the background first. This will keep traveling threads from showing through the canvas.
I was looking through Stitch Ins & Outs and found this delightful Tent Stitch pattern in the fabric section. I love the nice rhythm between crosses and bars and it was so easy to stitch. It’s got me moving on this project and I hope to finish it in a Sunday or two.
I call it Crosses 7 bars. It’s stitched in one strand of an unidentified shade of Watercolours.
