A Blessed Easter to you!
Sometimes you just want the focal point to shine. I bought this Japan Angel by Painted Pony from a local guild auction, but it needed a background to finish it for framing. I really wanted the angel to shine but I did want to add a subtle pattern to the design. The Tent Stitch patterns from Lynda Richardson’s Stitches a la Carte are perfect for this.
The background is stitched in Threadworx Shadowdyed Vineyard Silk. The color changes in this thread are changes in value, not color, making it a great choice for backgrounds.
