This week the dark green stripe will be stitched. It uses Glisten. This thread adds a bit of metallic to a Merino wool thread. Unlike other metallic/wool combinations, the metalic and wool in Glisten are twisted together, making a very stable thread.
As is often the case with darker colors, stitches are less well-defined. Because of this characyteristic, this stripe is stitched in Stepped Giant Cashmere, below.
I found it easiest to stitch a row at a time. This made it easier to see the two-thread steps between the Cashmeres in columns. If you stitch column by column, you may find it more difficult to place the next column’s stitches correctly.
