A couple of weeks ago my daughter told me what could be the Golden Rule of Reading: “One of the joys of reading as an adult is that you don’t have to finish a book if you don’t like it.”
The great British stitcher and teacher Anna Pearson has given us her Golden Rules of Needlepoint.
While I rarely know how something will be finished when I start the other rules are ones I take to heart, being the victim of not following them.
Do you have other rules you follow?
