Stitched from the Soul is an outstanding exhibit of needlepoint art currently at the Nave Museum in Victoria Texas. The show will be there through August 12. The pieces have been selected with Mary Ann Davis, the owner of Past Times Needlepoint, and Kathleen Carey as co-curators.
There are over 200 pieces of needlepoint in the show from 26 stitchers.
In a recent newsletter they shared many pictures from the show. Because many of us cannot get there, with their permission, I’m sharing them with you. Featured artists included Carolyn Taggert who exhibited several of her Leigh Designs projects.
Additional artists include Cornelia Gates, Elizabeth Greeson, Marie Mooney, and Kathleen Carey. Plus there were tons of other great pieces, including two trees trimmed with needlepoint ornaments.
You can also see a great interview with the curators that includes pictures of many more pieces.
Be sure to visit the museum if you can & take time to visit this lovely shop.
