When I say “chainettes” as a type of thread you almost certainly have used, you might feel like the man in the Moliere play who was astonished to learn he had been speaking prose all his life.
If you have used Caron’s Snow or Rainbow Gallery’s Nordic Gold or Cresta d’Oro you have used a chainette. Many folks find these challenging to use, but I for one, love them. Melita Glavin in her outstanding blog has a great article about chainettes, with a listing of many of them and stitched examples of some.
Several of the threads she mentions are no longer in Rainbow Gallery’s line, but many folks have them in their stashes.
