For the past several years, a great group activity has been happening over at Stitcherie. Called Stitching Games, it encourages us to stretch our creativity by picking a piece of needlepoint and stitching it by interpreting the monthly clues.
This year the rules are very free-form. The project can be anything, even a UFO. You don’t need to update folks monthly, just stitch your canvas using each of the clues, which started last November.
Once you are done, take a picture and list how you’ve used each clue. Then submit it. All the entries will be displayed on this blog for us all to enjoy some inspiring eye candy. Three of the lucky folks who submit will win a set of my printed books (winners drawn randomly).
I looked through my stash and found a charming vineyard canvas that will be my entry. It’s by Design Gallery and shows an Italian vineyard. I’m changing it up to make it Napa Valley and I’m inviting you to follow along with me. I’ll be posting, usually on Sundays about my progress. The next post will show some of the threads I have picked and will talk about the first area/clue.
Take a look at the rules and clues and join me!
