I saw so much beautiful needlepoint this week in posts and on the Web that I can’t limit myself to telling you about just one. So sit back, grab a cup of tea, and enjoy these lovely pieces and get inspired.
The NAN (National Academy of Needlearts) ha their annual Assembly and exhibit each spring. The exhibit, called The Exemplary, has some of the most stunning needlework around. They have the 2018 Ribbon Winners available on the site. Click on the thumbnails to see larger pictures.
I love Sheena’s delightful blog, Sheena’s Sweet Stitches. Not only does she have great stitches diagrammed but she takes us on wonderful needlepoint tours. In this post, she shows us her friend Tess’ wonderful collection of Halloween needlepoint. It includes close-ups of her collection of stitched Kirk & Bradley poison bottles.
Finally something a bit different, The Peabody-Essex Museum in Salem has an amazing exhibit happening nows of gowns from China’s Forbidden City. Richly embroidered, even the pictures will take your breath away. Read one women’s extensive view of the show that includes lots of pictures.
If you are near Salem, you should go see this. Then stop in at BF Goodstitch, which is only steps away for some stash enhancement.
