Justine Pearse says
Don’t you have to use a very thin yarn to be able to fit this stitch in the center???
Janet M Perry says
Rhodes Stitch goes from edge to edge crossing over the center. This is unlike Eyelets where all the stitches go into one hole.
The threads do cross over each other, however. Because of this thinner threads than you would normally use on canvas work for them. But you can also use thick threads. The difference is how high the bump will be.
Keep stitching,
Janet
